Kimberly Building Projections

I’ve been following building projections for a good while now – some brilliant, some not so great, and some just annoyingly fake – but this is a real standout example.  Varied, engaging, and long lasting – 0ne of the only examples I’ve seen with genuine crowd reaction, too.

Can’t wait for an opportunity to do something with this platform before it gets tired – hands off, T-Mobile. Leave something for the rest of us!

Charlie Brooker

charliebrookeracademypic2241

The angry little bugger’s waded in on the Mac vs PC debate. I snorted aloud three times, mid-office.

Even when he’s plastering my face with insults I can’t help but love him more and more.

Read.

Axe – Day & Night

sms_0

Shameless blogthievery via all-round Glue tech demigod & adopted office father Dom O’Brien, on a deceptively simple new bit of naughty from Axe.  Nice and simple – text off to a shortcode after 9pm (watershed, kiddies) to complete the ad with a rudey MMS.

Well. That really is the tits.

PARTY TIME

Whilst I really hope this whole ‘Windows 7 launch party’ malarky is deliberately awful as a brilliantly conceived, self aware publicity stunt – I can’t shake the feeling that they actually want people to do this. And why not? It sounds like the BEST PARTY EVER. Who doesn’t love orchestrated, product focussed party activities?

Can’t stop! I’m off to show my guests how they can talk to each other across the room online, instead of actually mingling. Ciao!

Double or Nothing

We’ve been nesting in a nice bright corner of the Glue office for 3 months now, and made it our own (I even managed to get Mau to clean up yesterday – been experiencing minor palpitations ever since). Fortunately, having distracted them all with Birthday Rice-Cakes and all manor of Drumstick lolly artworks, we managed to convince them we’re worth keeping for a bit longer – so we’re here for another 6 months! Hurrah.

HOORAY

Lolly & Nat

The rather dashing lovely ladypair wot-do sit next to us at Glue have been charming enough to mention us on their blog at Campaign, after we celebrated their close running birthdays in our own special little way.  Do scamper over and have a look.

Here’s Lolly, studying some bread:

And here’s Nat, hugging some bread. I imagine it was cold.

Thanks girls!

Kanye Interrupts

Screen shot 2009-09-24 at 10.24.24

Had a bit of fun with twibbon.com last week thanks to Mr Faux Pas himself, Kanye West. In the fallout of his oh-so-elegant VMA interruption and transition to meme superstar, I threw my oar in!

Managed a couple of thousand supporters in the first night, which was helped no end by a rather surprising bit of free press from the lovely Adam Ostrow over at mashable.com – he gone done did me a little article! Nice chap.

Audi A4 – Intelligently combined

I utterly fell in love with this last week – but, amid forgetting to blog for the last three odd months and being drowned in pitch work (woo!), I completely forgot to throw it up on here. Mind you, I must have watched the ad about 12 times in a row when I first came across it – absolutely mesmerised, and I’ve always been a sucker for score (Hex at Alton Towers – not that great, but I love it for the epic soundtrack)

Reminds me of a lot of Tim Burton intros – without the totally subverted dark streak and horsefacewife, naturally. It’s completely ruined by the Audi endframe though.  Jingleywank.

AutoTune the News

Can’t get this out of my head, and it’s been in there for about a month now.  The rest of them are annoyingly shit, mind.

LET’S VOTE FOR JOBS!
