Double or Nothing

We’ve been nesting in a nice bright corner of the Glue office for 3 months now, and made it our own (I even managed to get Mau to clean up yesterday – been experiencing minor palpitations ever since). Fortunately, having distracted them all with Birthday Rice-Cakes and all manor of Drumstick lolly artworks, we managed to convince them we’re worth keeping for a bit longer – so we’re here for another 6 months! Hurrah.

HOORAY

Lolly & Nat

The rather dashing lovely ladypair wot-do sit next to us at Glue have been charming enough to mention us on their blog at Campaign, after we celebrated their close running birthdays in our own special little way.  Do scamper over and have a look.

Here’s Lolly, studying some bread:

And here’s Nat, hugging some bread. I imagine it was cold.

Kanye Interrupts

Had a bit of fun with twibbon.com last week thanks to Mr Faux Pas himself, Kanye West. In the fallout of his oh-so-elegant VMA interruption and transition to meme superstar, I threw my oar in!

Managed a couple of thousand supporters in the first night, which was helped no end by a rather surprising bit of free press from the lovely Adam Ostrow over at mashable.com – he gone done did me a little article! Nice chap.

Fancy seeing you here!

As many apologies as I can possibly fit into a luxury hamper full of sorry to all the thousands of fictional people that read these godawful ramblings (and I spose I’m a little sorry to the 10 odd people who’re real, too) – I’m slowly learning that blogging was a really good distraction from complete and utter boredom, which seems to be something I’ve been cherishing rather than avoiding in the last few weeks.

Boredom means I’ve got nothing to do.

Which means I’m not busy.

I like it when that happens.  It just doesn’t very much.

A bit of context – Mauro and I have spent the last 8 or so weeks working with the lovely people at Glue London, distracting them with odd little things like Ricecake Birthday cakes (with carrot candles and humus icing) and all manner of post-it note creations, before any of them realise we’ve stolen a desk and several briefs.  Mauro’s also been forming lots of lovely bespoke art pieces from Drumstick lollies, which is nice.  I’ve been collecting lots of lovely new things to talk about from within the office, but being uber-resourceful I kept leaving it all there.  Now it’s here!  Here they are!  Hurrah! Isn’t email clever?

I HAVE LIVE WORK.

Thanks to the brilliant guys at Lean Mean Fighting Machine, this little beauty has gone live.  Myself and Linda (of the unstoppable austrian steamtrain that is Alex & Linda) took this idea to a workshop earlier in the year, and here it is!  I’m thrilled with how they’ve turned it out.

In short, you clip together fragments of party political speeches to make the men in charge say whatever you like.  I made Gordon say ‘A big shark stung your mum’ a minute ago.  Silly Gordon. Sharks don’t sting.

Make politicians say stupid things

Back!

Sorry for the break in posts – but the work is finally handed in.  Degree done, real world – bugger.  Here I come…

The Hunt is coming…

Sneak peak of the Bucks degree show theming for this year – less than three weeks til showtime, and I don’t think I could have more work still to do if I tried…

If anyone’s after a head-mounted student, I’ll be chucking her up on eBay next week.

Horribly Busy

Here’s what’s been keeping me busy for the last couple of weeks – 500 handprinted invites later and our degree show is a little bit closer to hitting reality.  All I need to do now is try to let someone else do some of the work and start doing the work for the last 50% of my degree that I haven’t started yet.

Yay!

Note to self – do not accost bewildered admen on trains, especially when fully aware of utter social ineptitude.

Note to adman – Still learning the ol’ how-to-act-like-a-normal-person thing. Kudos for checking the blog out anyway, though. Er..sorry about that!
